Noel is a native of
Kerry and now lives in Dublin, Ireland. He grew up in a family
where song, poetry and painting were as much appreciated as
forms of communication as everyday conversation. Music has been
a source of inspiration and personal fulfilment for him for
as long as he can remember. It is his touchstone with life's
mystical side.
He is a four-time winner of the Oireachtas, the famed
Irish-language cultural festival.
In the National Concert Hall, Dublin, he has produced
memorable celebratory tributes to legendary Irish writers, John
B. Keane, Brendan Kennelly, and Patrick Kavanagh on the
centenary of his birth, 21 October, 2004..
His soulful interpretation of Irish and international love
songs are widely acknowledged. As one respected commentator observed:
"His beautifully sensitive and evocative singing lingers
magically for long after in the memory."
Noel has performed in concert in such venues as Vicar St.
and The National Concert Hall in Dublin, Ireland, as well as El
Salvador and Sarajevo,.
It is clear that his willingness to expose through music
a glimpse of his experience along The Enchanted Way of
life resonates with listeners everywhere.
